Property Inspection Project

Instructions

The client wants you to evaluate the exterior of their property to ensure that the property is being maintained properly.

You will need to walk around the property observing the condition of the parking lot, store fronts, dumpster area etc. while taking notes and photos.

Please inspect the property by getting out of the car and walking around the various areas of the property.

Print out the report form found by clicking the Print Report Form tab to the left.  Take this printout with you and complete it in pen as you do your inspection.  To verify you are inspecting the correct property, take a picture of the entrance to the shopping center, including the main signage.

Take pictures of each area of the property and email them to the scheduler so that she can be add them to your report.  The client wants you to take clear photos, including the storefront area. We are looking for at least 12 photos and up to 18 from you in total.

It is better to take too many photos than too few.  The scheduler can decide which photos to send to the client.

Please do not enter any stores, just the outside property areas are to be inspected.

If your assigned property is in a city setting or in an office building instead of a strip shopping center, you need to drive or walk around the location and check for neatness of any signage, windows, sidewalk and entrance access, and back alley if there is one.  You also need to take a picture to show the building location just like in the strip center scenario.  You do not need to enter the building to evaluate the interior of the location.

Taking Photos of the Property

We want you to take a photo of the front signage of the mall to begin with. Then take 2 or 3 photos corresponding to each section on the print report form.  Since there are 6 sections, we would like to see about 12 to 18 photos taken.  Of course, if you see any problem areas such as excessive weeds or litter, or any graffiti on the property, add these photos as extra ones.  Send all photos to the scheduler.
